Biography

 

Jeanne Reiner attended Philadelphia's University of the Arts and was awarded full scholarship to the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City where she received her BFA. She followed with a post-graduate program in Brissago, Switzerland through Yale University.

 

She began her career as a graphic designer for Estée Lauder, Inc. designing cosmetic packaging, new product launches and promotions as well as window and store displays.

 

Three years later, Ms. Reiner launched her own design studio in Manhattan and for 13 years worked with Elizabeth Arden, Karl Lagerfeld, Ralph Lauren, L'Oréal, Revlon, Timex, the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Pilobolus Dance Theater and the Pierpont Morgan Library.

 

She was named full-time consultant art director for Elizabeth Arden, managing a wide array of design projects for the firm. She was then invited to study innovative European design trends while based in the Netherlands.

 

Jeanne moved to Connecticut in 2002 and began a career in fine art. She studied oil painting at SUNY Purchase and watercolor at the Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan, CT and received her certification as a botanical artist at the New York Botanical Garden in May 2014.

 

Ms. Reiner is the co-founder of the Tri-State Botanical Artists of New York Botanical Garden where she is a botanical art instructor. She is currently serving as a board member of the American Society of Botanical Artists. She has been named, in 2021, a Fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists in the United Kingdom. She is also a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, New England Society of Botanical Artists, Greenwich Art Society, and on the Artist Registry of the Filoli Gardens in Woodside, CA. and a council member of the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT.
